Course Description
An understanding of materials enabled advance in engineering design. This course presents a procedure for material and process selection in mechanical design which allows the identification, from among the full range of materials and section shapes available to the engineering, of the subset most likely to perform well in a given application and for identifying the process by which the shape can be made.
